Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree..
May I present to you the Jones Family Christmas tree 2010. It is certainly not your typical Christmas tree, but a very unique spin on the “green” tree idea. Momma and Papa J created this very creative and almost 8 foot tall wooden ‘grinch who stole Christmas’ esque tree. And I LOVE IT. We spent much of Friday day preparing our ornaments - painting and stringing the...

Holiday oh Holiday
The best time of the year. With my family scattered across the states, Christmas before I joined the Jones family was usually very small and intimate, but very special in it’s own way. The Adirondacks, especially this time of year, was a great place to grow up and celebrate - snow mobiles, maple syrup houses, hot cocoa, homemade scarves and card games before bed. This year we celebrate Jones...

Three cheers for...
My Husband. & his superb wrapping skillz. Like for serious - I traded laundry and dishes for the remiander of the year as long as I don’t have to wrap. I’m horrible at it, he nails it. The olive theory lives.  EmmySnacks! Drinks last night at M&S was super fun, can’t wait to do it again.  A most excellent Capelli New York neck warmer that I am getting for christmas.  ...

Wino
I am an huge fan of wine, but no connoisseur. I’m sort of annoyed that I haven’t really found a white wine that I can really get into, but I love my reds.  So Husband showed me this fun little gift and needless to say, it’s earmarked as a gift for now or later, but I want it.  wine tasting uncorked -$14.95

2K10 Jones Tree
The biggest one we’ve owned! I’d like to call it our first tree, because I don’t believe our pre-lit table top tree counted as a ‘real’ tree.  Clearly we need to acquire more festive and meaningful bulbs for our official tree. Target just didn’t offer the selection I was hoping for.*  A scavenger hunt for Christmas tree bulbs at an antique shop is in my...

My Gratitude
Happy December Readers, Family, Friends! I hope that you and your family and friends had a great Thanksgiving. I don’t know what it is about this time of year that brings out so much love and spirit, but it’s apparent in so many ways. I wanted to let you know that I am grateful for the support, advice, friendships and inspiration that have transpired since creating this little blog. To...
