Ann Taylor
I’ve been searching for a few new suiting pieces for work, so I clicked over to the Ann Taylor website. I can’t tell you how user friendly and fun it is to navigate this site. Yes, I’ll take one of each please.

We like to look for our future house. Imagining how great it will be to have a backyard for Lola to run around in. I think we can agree, the craftsman bungalow is our style. Now to find one to move into. :)
Nature Inspired Kitchen Wall
An earth friendly kitchen in stone, wood and tile.
The stone wall in this rustic kitchen is highlighted by salvaged wood beams and white tile. Floor made from flagstone and reclaimed hemlock wood mirrors the stone wall panel and timber ceiling. A painted white island with a stone top is used for food prep, add teak stools so it can double as a seating area. Pendant lighting that is simple makes it modern.

JCREW Wedding Look Book
Oh the dresses are sooooo beautiful. I die. JCREW is so classic and expensive :-P But very very much my favorite. #14/26 with ruffle neckline is such a terrific piece. This would work nicely for our honeymoon ;) Must save my hard earned dollars for this, oh and a nice pair of shoes…Must.
megburns: Downtown Hartford. Or rather, the one Avenue I could take a photo of in Hartford that would make it look like an actual downtown. Hartford has so much potential- old brick buildings with tons of character, an influx of young people drawn by a decent job market, and strong suburban towns full of bars and restaurants. But something needs to give. No one will invest in Hartford until people move downtown, but people won’t move downtown until businesses invest (i.e. a grocery store and a department store, for starters…).
So for now, we will all continue to live in surrounding towns like West Hartford, where we can pay 1/2 the rent of a Hartford highrise (no, seriously) for a much nicer apartment, in a hip young area where we can go outside after sunset without worrying about getting shot, and a grocery store and gas station are less then a mile away.
Sigh. Someday, Hartford, you will ACTUALLY be the “rising star of New England” as your new campaign boasts…
Your are dead on about this. I work there and wish for some retail therapy every once and a stressful day.
Since it seems like there is a consensus that Jenna kind of failed with her “picks” this time, I thought I would give it a go. Also, I just can’t help but put together my own little collages whenever I get the new catalog.
Here’s what I’m obsessed with:

Much better then Jenna, m’lady! *applause*
So not a fan of Halloween…Maybe it’s because as a little girl, my former evil step-monster, made me unwrap all my candy in front of her before I could eat it. I can remember how she’d press her finger into the chocolates, just to be sure there were no pins or needles in it. Ugh, she ruined any possible affinity for all things Halloween. HOWEVER, I am very thrilled about our dear friends party this weekend. They are head-over-heels crazy for Halloween. And well, I love it when people are really passionate about things, because they always put everything they’ve got into it. This should be a fun party - Halloween or not. Nothing like spending time with dear friends. :-)
6 WAYS TO STAY ZEN WHILE WEDDING PLANNING - Vera Bradleylife.com
Planning a wedding can be stressful. Relax! The days leading up to your special day should be fun. Here are 6 secrets to arranging a stress-free wedding.
- Delegate. Consider a wedding planner. They’re familiar with venues and have relationships with vendors, plus they know how to work out the details that can help save money. You can also ask your bridesmaids, close family, even the groom for help with coordinating a few details, like flowers, favors and seating arrangements.
- Plan Ahead. Try to make as many of the major decisions as early as possible. It’ll help ease stress, and can even save money, too. Some things you can get out of the way first are choosing a dress, booking the ceremony and reception venues, compiling the guest list and selecting the invitations.
- Don’t Try to Please Everyone. As long as you and the groom are happy, that’s all that really matters. Of course, everyone from Mom to Grandma will have an opinion and offer advice, but ultimately it’s your day. You want it to be memorable for you.
- Make It Fun. If you’re visiting a venue for the reception, make a night of it with your hubby-to-be and stay for a meal. Or, call on your girlfriends for a day of bridesmaid dress shopping and lunch. It doesn’t have to be arranging and stress all the time.
- Relax. Have a wedding planning-free weekend with your girlfriends. Take a yoga class, get a massage, or head to spa. All the pampering will calm you completely.
- Refocus. It’s easy to get caught up in the details for a picture-perfect wedding. So take a moment to remember what’s most important - you’re committing to spending the rest of your life with your Prince Charming.
Tuesday's Rusty Pinheads.
Something about the bowling alley, Ieaves me smelling of fried food, cigarettes and the 70’s. Ehk, I need a shower.
